Since opening their doors in November 2014, One Well Brewing co-owners, Chris O'Neill and T.J. Waldofsky, have continued to grow their business in the Millwood neighborhood by creating a community were everyone feels welcome. Entering their doors, you'll see families and friends playing board games, artists displaying new work, and a few of us doodling, regularly. So, as we prepare for our upcoming Kalamadoodle event, we wanted to take a moment and share some exciting news that is worth celebrating!
One of their latest developments has been the addition of veteran brewer, Trevor Klimek (Above). Previously from Paw Paw Brewing, Trevor brings a ton of industry knowledge, as well as the biggest smile and best hugs in the business! You can read more about Trevor, and his new role at One Well, on the West Michigan Beer Tours website.
Chris and T.J. are also in the process of creating an annual scholarship fund for students of the newly developed Sustainable Brewing Program at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. The program is designed to be a well-rounded education of the various aspects that go into running a brewing business, and is certain to make an impact in the industry. You can learn more about One Well's involvement in their MLive article.
Lastly, One Well is growing their physical footprint! Expansion plans are underway for a new off-site production facility. With this new space, they will be able to increase their brewing capacity, provide more distribution, and eventually offer cooperative services and tenant brewing. Details of their expansion project can also be found on MLive.
It's great to see our friends at One Well growing their business, while also giving back to the community. We appreciate the support they've shown this project and our attendees, and can't wait for our next event! (I'll be drinking the Xalapa.)
